Al Ahly manager Pitso Msoiamne has finally broken his silence on his much-speculated return to Bafana Bafana, saying he is unsure when he will take over the national side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The former Mamelodi Sundowns boss saw his men lose 2-0 to Bayern Munich in the Fifa Club World Cup in Qatar on Monday but his remarks suggest he might return to the SAFA House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking to On The Whistle podcast, \u2018Jingles\u2019 explained he was not sure when his return to the national team would be as he remains contracted to the Egyptian Premier League giants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On his assessment of the 1996 African champions, the former Masandawana mentor believes there is a lot of football work that needed to be done in the national team by the football federation, including in player development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a phrase we have in SA that says \u2018once a Bafana, always a Bafana\u2019, Yes, it is possible, but when, I\u2019m not sure,\u201d said Mosimane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSA is my country. I always carry my flag and I never forget where I come from. That is my country and they gave me the opportunity to be here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mosimane was an assistant coach during the 2010 Fifa World Cup showpiece hosted in South Africa where Bafana failed to make it out of the group stages.
The hosts drew against Mexico, lost to Uruguay but managed to beat France and the Kagiso-born manager went on to become the coach after the global showpiece, a position he occupied until June 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Touted as the most successful coach in the South African football history, having claimed five Premier Soccer League titles with Sundowns, Mosimane\u2019s Bafana future remains a subject of speculation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the other hand, he has had an impressive start with the Red Devils where he has 18 victories and four draws out of 23 matches he\u2019s coached Ahly to date.
Meanwhile, he also reacted to the loss o the German Bundesliga giants, saying he felt so sick but admitted they have to improve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot the results we wanted. We will have to improve on many aspects. Football at the World Cup level will always show you still have a lot of work to do,\u201d he said on Twitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
