Novel Coronavirus siege the North West Provincial Government. The Premier office’s office announced on the 6 July the sad passing of Mr Gordon Kegakilwe MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs.
Premier Prof Job Mokgoro and Mr Saliva Molapisi took the COVID-19 test yesterday following the passing on of the late Mr Mothibi Gordon Kegakilwe and he received results today, confirming that they have tested positive for the virus.
Both the Premier and MEC Molapisi have since went to isolation. In a statement the office of the Premier said both Mokgoro and Molapisi are not incapacitated to carry out their duties. The Premier will therefore continue to discharge his duties albeit remotely.
